I totally agree about the importance of following ISO standards. We once had a project where the local climate was so unpredictable that we had to adjust our application schedule almost daily. Sticking to the standards and keeping in close contact with the coating manufacturer for advice was key to meeting the fire protection requirements.

On one of our projects, we used portable dehumidifiers and heaters to control the environment inside the building where we were applying the coating. It was a bit of a hassle, but it worked. The real challenge was ensuring the power supply could handle the extra load without tripping breakers.

I think one of the biggest challenges is when you have to apply coatings in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations. We’ve seen coatings crack or peel because of this. It’s crucial to choose a product that’s specifically designed to handle such conditions and to closely monitor the environment during and after application.
